USED TO REDUCE VOLUME OF WASTE. 4 TYPICAL TYPES:
- BULKHEAD - WASTE IS COMPACTED AGAINST BULKHEAD. WHEN BLOCK IS READY FOR REMOVAL, BLOCK IS PLACED INTO BAG.
- EXTRUDER - WASTE IS COMPACTED BY BEING FORCED THROUGH CYLINDER WITH A RESTRICTED AREA.
- CAROUSEL BAG PACKER - WASTE IS COMPACTED INTO DISPOSAL BAG.
- CONTAINER PACKER - WASTE IS COMPACTED DIRECTLY INTO BIN, CART, OR CONTAINER. WHEN FULL, THE CONTAINER IS MECHANICALLY OR MANUALLY REMOVED AND REPLACED.
COMPACTOR ROOM
- REQUIRED TO BE ENCLOSED IN 2-HOUR FIRE RATED ROOM, MUST HAVE FIRE DOORS AND SPRINKLERS.
