Pre-Incident Planning:

Communities and businesses routinely develop plans to identify the risks associated with hazardous materials (contingency planning, risk analysis).

Why isn't this routinely applied to all buildings with a large potential for loss?

Objective:

• To allow firefighters to become familiar with the building, physical layout and design, and its associated hazards.
• To identify life safety and fire control hazards.
• To promote positive image and relationship between the fire department and the occupant.
