Disney Wonder

This was a 7-night Alaskan Cruise through Alaska's Inside Passage.  The Inside Passage is a coastal route for oceangoing vessels along a network of passages which weave through the islands on the Pacific coast of North America.  The route extends from southeastern Alaska, in the United States, through western British Columbia, in Canada, to northwestern Washington state, in the United States.
The Disney Wonder has 11 decks, 964 feet long, 106 feet wide and a gross tonnage of 83,000.  It can accommodate 2,700 passengers, and 950 Cast and Crew Members.

Day 1
05/02/11  Fly from Rochester, NY to Vancouver, BC to stay at the Executive Airport Plaza Richmond hotel.

Day 2
05/03/11  Board the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship and set sail for the Inside Passage of Alaska.

Day 3
05/04/11  All day on the ship sailing up the coast between the US and Russia before entering the north entrance of Alaska's Inside Passage.

Day 4
05/05/11  All day at Tracy Arm, a scenic cruise of the fjord. At the end of the fjord lays the translucent mountain masterpiece known as the Sawyer Glaciers. Comprised of twin massive ice sheets, the Sawyer Glaciers are 2 age-old, glowing, light-blue calving glaciers that sit magnificently perched at the head of Tracy Arm Fjord.

Day 5
05/06/11  Skagway, AK a city renowned for unspoiled natural beauty and a storied history steeped in the Klondike Gold Rush of the late 1880s.
Road the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad and traveled the very same route in a vintage train car that the miners of yesteryear traveled in as they set out in search of gold.
Stopped at the Yukon Suspension Bridge over the white-water rapids of the Tutshi River.
Took an Original Street Car Tour of the city of Skagway.

Day 6
05/07/11  Juneau is the largest capital in area in the United States and the only state capital accessible by air or ship only.
The Red Dog Saloon, built during the city's mining era, which is home to swinging saloon doors, saw dust floors, live music and unique memorabilia.
The Mendenhall Glacier, a half-mile wide, 1,800-feet deep ice field, is the most accessible glacier in Alaska.

Day 7
05/08/11  Ketchikan billed as the "Salmon Capital of the World".
Bering Sea Crab Fishermen's Tour:
All aboard the Aleutian Ballad to meet the crew who shared with us the great history of the boat and give us an overview of the fascinating things to see on the tour.

Day 8
05/09/11  Sailing back to Vancouver.

Day 9
05/10/11  Arrive at Vancouver and disembark the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship.
Visit the Vancouver Aquarium home to over 70,000 animals.
